  • Train with toxic chemicals derails in Tennessee, 5,000 evacuted.

A train carrying toxic chemicals has derailed in eastern Tennessee, and over 5,000 nearby residents of Marysville, Tennessee, have been evacuated because of the chemical fumes in the air.
The train derailed late Wednesday night, caught on fire, and has been burning ever since. Several firefighter have had to be decontaminated; but so far there are no known injuries. People may have to stay out of the area for at least the next two days.
At this point, there is not any information on how many cars turned over, or what caused the crash and fire.

It looks like the train was carrying Acrylonitrile. It is used in the manufacturing process of plastics. Not properly handled, it could be dangerous or even deadly. There is an overview here.
