Besides Death Row costs more to the tax payers, would not want to spend MORE money on this joker then we need too.
Isn't being in jail for decades on end far more expensive for the state to handle than a one-time death sentence? Anyhow, let's just hope incarceration will knock some sense and humanity back into people like him.

That's a very common misconception related to capital punishment that most people believe .
Look it up, it costs more to put someone on death row and kill them then it does to incarcerate them normally.
This isn't Nazi Germany we are not looking for cost-effective methods of state sponsored murder.
It's not like they get the death sentence and are taken out back and shot in the head.
They sit on death row for years, decades even. There are constant reviews and appeals. There are a tonne of checks and balances. Lawyers time does not come cheap. Also when the government screws up (which we all know they do all the time) they have to pay out huge lawsuit settlements for wrongful convictions. When they are actually put to death that's an expensive process involving all sorts of medical professionals and oversight.
From start to finish death row is a ridiculously expensive system to maintain, one which has not been proven to even be effective.

Stories like these gives me a painful pinch in the heart as a parent, especially hearing about other parents selling their children for pornography or being the ones who molest their children themselves. I have also heard a lot of related news here for many years now and it's really maddening how cases of child pornography and pedophilia do not seem to lessen but they seem to be increasing more and more. What I really hate more seeing on the news are parents abusing their own children.

I noticed that the law here in the Philippines don't have much tooth for child abusers and molesters. There are various groups fighting for children's rights but there really isn't a specific law that gives outright justice and protection to children. This is why most of the children who are victims of abuse don't come out in the open because of fear. Good thing social media nowadays is also becoming a way for citizens to act as watch dogs of each other. They use social media to let the public know about anomalies and crimes being done in their area.

Yup, death would just be a sweet escape for these criminals. I think those who rape other people, especially children should not be liable for death penalty at all. That is just an easy way out for them. Now... I wouldn't say torture is acceptable but at least prisons here in my country are almost like being tortured. You are in such ineffective living conditions, limited water, limited food, limited sleeping space and even limited proper ventilation. That is a better punishment for them rather than death penalty. I cannot say the same for other countries though since I think the US has good prison conditions.
