  • Paedophile Who Filmed Abuse of Little Girls Now Facing Imprisonment

A British man by the name of Trevor Monk paid "facilitators" thousands of money to be able to watch videos of the abuse little girls. Authorities were able to confiscate materials containing indecent videos of abuse of little girls as well as Monk himself abusing the little girls. There was about 43,000 photos of molestation of children in just one computer confiscated.

It's disturbing as Monk claims that one of these children is abused by her own mother as well. We don't know who the facilitators are but might they be relatives or parents themselves? It's quite difficult to know. But it's a worldwide problem and child abuse is not something to be taken lightly.

He will be sentenced in Old Bailey this January 26.

Stories like this make my stomach churn. Reading details of the interactions between Monk and the handlers in the Philippines make me wonder how common this type of sex travel is. I also wonder about this man's mental state. What were the events in his life to cause him to have this preoccupation with younger girls, and is it something that can be treated?

I wouldn't want to make my country look bad but the truth is, incidents like this do happen a lot in here. It's not even just foreigners who do this, you would be surprised to know that even the children's own parents, usually mother, sell their own child to men. It truly is gut-wrenching knowing that this happens to young children.

As with Trevor's case, I don't know what made him do this. The article didn't mention anything about his mental state. At first though, he did not admit the accusations but then he did admit them in the end. Maybe he does have issues and I sure wished he did something about it, like consult a doctor. So that he didn't have to abuse young girls for his own pleasure.

It truly is a serious and relevant problem. I know that many, many children in my home country are being sold and abused to adults. But are they always punished? No, because most of the time the kids are scared to tell about the abuse and then there's the issue that some parents are the ones who sell their kids. The kids end up being scarred for life with no therapy or help at all. Some end up being prostitutes just because they don't think there's a way out. I hope these criminals are punished for what they do because it damages kids for their whole lives.

This insane. People like this need to die a slow painful death. But even then, there is no justice for the children. They are the ones that have to cope in society and try to live a normal life. It wouldn't matter if he is imprisoned or put to death. The whole situation isn't fair for the children in the end. With child porn and pictures on the internet and available to these people in large quantities, its going to be hard to stop.

He deserves to be incarcerated. He's ruined the happy childhood of many children and caused them trauma. Not to mention the heartaches these children's parents had to go through. I wouldn't even mind if they put him on death row. It will take a lot for the children and their families to forgive him.

That is truly ghastly. At a minimum, he should spend the rest of his natural life behind bars. I realize capital punishment is controversial, and I understand the arguments against said, but these kinds of stories can push one's buttons in favor of that sentencing. But life in small cell will likely suffice.

You know what guys, for me, jail isn't even enough punishment for what he's done. Even death will be a sweet escape for him. Those who have the guts to abuse and rape children and women, they do not have morals anymore. They are willing to put forth their desires and scar another person for life. It's just not fair that these people get to live with that horrible event while these rapists get to enjoy life in prison. They eat three times a day and get to sleep in a comfortable bed. I wonder if they even have their conscience bugging them.

It's really funny how the UK tries all these crazy stunts to put restrictions on pornography. It's almost surreal, seeing the hypocrisy of the same British PMs fiddling kids are the ones telling the population what they should and shouldn't do with their sexuality. It's sad that there is a censorship board doing this "for the children" when there's still children being passed around like sex toys behind the government's back.

Yeah, it's quite sad that the children are very vulnerable to sexual abuse. I don't particularly know the laws in the UK regarding pornography but thank you for pointing out that it's quite restrictive. In our country, I don't think porn is restricted at all. I don't know for sure what is porn's role in all these incidents though. One thing is for sure, sexual abuse rates are not going down and more and more kids are being victimised. It's time that the government focus more on saving these children and preventing further abuses down the road.

Sadly stories like these are becoming more and more frequent, and I'm not usually one to say hang them, but in cases of child abuse then I really don't think that rehabilitation is something we should be looking at.

Even in prisons the other inmates dish out their own form of justice to people like this, so maybe jail is the best place for them. They won't have an easy time, that's for sure, and in my opinion they don't deserve one either.

I don't think that their frequency is an issue, but I think that there is just more exposure with the fourth generation of media and internet coming around. This has likely been going on for decades, and the reporters of our decades are only now getting their hands on the scoop.

There's no doubt that it HAS been going on for decades as the recent criminal proceedings in the UK have shown.

Historic sex offences is the main topic of headline news these days and the perpetrators seem to come from.all walks of life, from the rich and famous all the way down to the working man in the street.

What is worrying, is the fact that a lot of people are coming forward saying they went to the press and other media at the time, but was ignored. That to me tends to suggest that maybe the powers that be in the media, turned a blind eye to the allegations, as they either didn't want to rock the boat, or they was actually part of the problem in the first place.

Typically these clowns get treated pretty bad by the other prisoniers, I would not want him to get away from that real justice by being put on the safety of death row.
Besides Death Row costs more to the tax payers, would not want to spend MORE money on this joker then we need too.
