From Yahoo News: Three fires that broke out on the July Fourth holiday in California were possibly sparked by the use of illegal fireworks and a man was arrested after fireworks exploded at a party and injured several people, officials said on Sunday. The Hollister Police Department said 35-year-old Shawn Gregory Bourdet was arrested after he lit a firework mortar that fell on its side and shot projectiles at celebrants at a block party late on Saturday. A child was airlifted to a San Francisco Bay Area hospital with severe injuries, the police department said.

It might be possible that fireworks are the reason for the fires. I remember an incident in the Philippines were there was a fire in the fireworks market where all types of fireworks can be found. There should really be safety precautions when it comes to fireworks.

This is an annual problem and people seem unable to learn from the past, or heed the warnings issued every year. Forest fires are a huge danger in drought conditions and lightning is already a big threat. I hope that a lot of those who did illegal fireworks get caught and sited so people will think twice about trying to get away with stuff.

When it comes to illegal fireworks, safety precautions are not being observed. I remember what you are saying, the ones that happened in Bulacan?
Safety must always be observed for health and life is precious.

It is easier to start a fire during hot seasons than during cold seasons. Many people do ignore the safety measures which result to unwanted fires, most of them being those who acquire fireworks illegally. Camping fires have also been associated to wildfires. Those who like camping must make sure that they put off any fire they had started before leaving their camps.

There are more other causes of world fires besides illegal fireworks.
            - Hot burning lava, from volcanic eruptions, can cause wildfires.
            - Cigarette butts left behind on the land can be another cause.
            - Others ignite those fires intentionally.
            - Burning debris can result to uncontrollable fires that can spread very fast.
            - Lightning can also be cause of wild fires.
            - Unmonitored camp fires can also spread and cause a disaster.
