Three South Koreans are admitted in Manila Doctors Hospital with suspected cases of MERS COV. These are the first three cases known to hit the country.

MERS COV is also a big threat to the Philippines because of the large number of Koreans who come here to study. The latest case is a Korean student who studies English in Bacolod City.

Baguio City is also potentially threatened with MERS Cov because there are many Koreans studying English there. The Korean community in the city are very vigilant and cooperative on the matter. They have informed local officials of the city that they will immediately report any suspected cases of MERS Cov among their members. Hopefully, this virus won't be able to spread in the country.

A lot of our tourists are also Koreans! They love traveling in the Philippines. NAIA personnel should be very vigilant in inspecting visitors from other countries especially those who came from places where MERS COV is an epidemic. Prevention is better than cure!
