    A friend of mine sent this to me via email and I laughed my behind off whilst reading it. Some of it due to the Cold War-era memories and others to the hilarious prose in the article. Anyway, though we are largely serious-minded ladies and gents here, I thought I'd share it for, in the modern parlance, "the lulz".

    I know this article was meant to be funny but somehow remembering the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings kind of makes my stomach churn. As much as I loathed what the Japs did to my countrymen during the war, the bombings didn't set things right (not to mention several innocents were sacrificied). It did cripple the Axis powers to a significant extent.
